The Foxboro SCD5200 combines the features and benefits of the Foxboro
RTU50 Series components with higher levels of communications,
integration, and engineering packaging. A state-of-the-art graphical
user interface is provided for the proven diagnostic tools while the
platform independence of the tools is maintained. Configuration tools
are similarly upgraded and extended to provide efficiencies in
engineering, system maintenance, and configuration management. A key
development of the SCD5200 is the integration of CPU, OptoNet, Power
Supply, and dual Ethernet into the main processor board (COPE). This
provides a compact single module for specialized communications, local
networking, applications.
A distributed architecture allows the full spectrum from small single device station configurations through to redundant power supply, processor, and I/O systems with redundant (duplicated and path diverse) communications networks.
